We use our profits for your good - not our pockets!

A bank’s success is measured by the impact they have on Wall Street – our success is measured by the impact we have on Main Street. Our sole purpose is to help our members, our local business economy and our community achieve financial wellbeing.

Our profits have a higher purpose; one way we use our profits for your good is through community impact.   We believe in working together to build a stronger community and we put our money where our mouth is. We invest time, energy and money in initiatives that have real impact our community. To say we believe in community investment is an understatement; it’s an essential part of who we are and that's something we're proud of.

Aren't you proud you're a member?  When you bank with us, you are part of something bigger!

If you're not a member; why not? We are like banks in many ways - secure, stable and open to anyone. The difference is we are run on principles – using our profits for your good – not our pockets. Ready to join?

Helping Build a Strong and Vibrant Community!

Weyburn Credit Union is committed to building a strong and vibrant community! Communities flourish when they are supported by companies who believe in social responsibility and Weyburn Credit Union prides itself on being a good corporate citizen. In fact, corporate responsibility is a cornerstone of our organization and is supported and encouraged at every level of our Credit Union. We are committed to making a positive impact in our community and over the years, we've done just that with sponsorships and donations to health care, the arts, education, agriculture, economic development, recreation and sport.

Our Community Fund was established by our Board of Directors to help support and develop sustainable programs and projects that enhance our communities.  Each year, we allocate a portion of our profits into the Community Fund; local community groups are then able to apply for funding for programs and projects. To be considered, projects must have a far-reaching, positive impact on the community and intend to be self-sustainable. Requests of $2,500.00 or more depending on the scope and scale of the project and the anticipated impact on the community and surrounding areas will be assessed by an evaluation committee comprised of WCU staff, management and directors. The focus of Weyburn Credit Union's Community Fund will be on sponsorship opportunities that align with the Credit Union's goals, priorities, and core values by contributing to community in a meaningful way.

Giving Back in a Meaningful Way!

We’re only as strong as the members and the communities we serve. That’s why community involvement is at the heart of everything we do. We’re here to help members live the life they want, and that means building strong, healthy, positive communities in which to live and work. We consider donation and sponsorship requests where our involvement would play a meaningful role in the growth and development of our trade area.

Helping Build the Leaders of Tomorrow!

We wholeheartedly believe our youth members are our future and we realize that pursuing a post-secondary education takes a hard work, dedication and a considerable financial commitment. We are proud to be able to support local youth and their efforts through our scholarship program.  Each year, Weyburn Credit Union awards $6,000 in scholarships to well-deserving students on the basis of academic excellence, good citizenship, and a continuous contribution to school and community.
Our scholarships include:
  • RS Williamson & Eliford Mott Memorial Scholarships: Three $1,000.00 scholarships are awarded to graduating students; two of which are awarded to students attending university and one to a student attending a technical school.
  • Q.O.(Quint) Patrick & C.H.(Chuck) Hodgson Scholarships: Four scholarships of $750 are awarded to Southeast College students: two of which are awarded to mature students (over the age of 21) with the other two awarded to recent graduates.
