A message from our CEO & Board Chair

To our valued members:

For more than 75 years, Weyburn Credit Union has put people first. In fact, that core belief is at the heart of our organization and drives everything we do. It’s this belief that drives our actions in this challenging time too.

All of us here at Weyburn Credit Union are committed to helping you with all your financial service needs – especially those whose financial well-being is impacted by COVID-19. We know many people are facing income disruption and financial challenges due to loss of childcare, illness or other fallout; we will offer financial relief and flexible repayment options to help members financially impacted by the pandemic. We will work with all members - personal and business – on a case-by-case basis to help them through this time.  Our team is currently working on definitive measures that we can take to help our personal and business members and we encourage you to check our website for the most up-to-date information. If you’re concerned, talk with us; we’re here for you.

We know many members want to be able to connect with us digitally or by phone, so we are taking extra steps to be responsive to your needs. We are ensuring that our financial professionals are available to serve you via phone by creating as much additional capacity as possible to help.

The health and safety of our members and our staff is our top priority. Our branches are currently open with enhanced cleaning and best practice routines; however, we encourage you to consider a phone-based appointment. As we continue to monitor the situation, we may take additional steps including temporarily transitioning all member services to digital channels and phone. Again, we ask you to visit www.weyburncu.ca for the latest information.

These are truly unprecedented times. From Weyburn Credit Union’s family to yours, we hope that you and your families remain safe. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we work through this crisis with you and into a better, brighter, and stronger future.

Sincerely,

Don Shumlich
