This situation isn't easy, and we don't know how long it will last. Given this uncertainty, many people are concerned about how the situation is going to affect them. We've had lots of members reaching out to determine how it will impact their financial well-being. CANADA EMERGENCY BUSINESS ACCOUNT (CEBA) is here Expand/Collapse

To ensure that small businesses have access to the capital they need to see them through the current challenges, the Government of Canada has launched the new Canada Emergency Business Account, which has been implemented by eligible financial institutions including Weyburn Credit Union.

This $25 billion program provides interest-free loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits, to help cover their operating costs during a period when their revenues have been temporarily reduced, due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 virus.

Financial Relief for Credit Card Holders Expand/Collapse

Through our credit card partner, we are able to offer cardholder financial relief measures, such as:

Emergency Temporary Credit Limit Increases

Cardholders can apply for emergency credit limit increases to cover airfare, car rentals, food, shelter, medical supplies, medications and other expenses. Call Collabria Cardholder Services at 1.855.341.4643.

Increased Contactless Transaction Limits of $250

Collabria Financial has temporarily increased maximum contactless transaction limits to $250 across all merchant categories.

Minimum Payment Deferral

Members can contact Collabria Financial to have their minimum payment deferred for up to 3 months at a time - those members will have their interest rate reduced as well. After 3 months, card holders can call in and have their relief measures extended to 6 months, if needed. Call Collabria Cardholder Services at 1.855.341.4643.

Reduced Interest Rate of 10.9%

Cardholders can contact Collabria and request financial relief due to COVID-19 impacts. Cardholders can have their interest rate reduced to 10.9% for up to 6 months. Simply, call Collabria Cardholder Services at 1.855.341.4643.

Balance Transfers

Balance Transfers provide members the ability to consolidate higher interest rate loans and credit card balances. When members transfer balances to a new Low Rate Card, they only pay 3.9% interest. Already have a card? All cardholders can qualify for 5.9% on Balance Transfers for a period of 6 months.

Use our Night Deposit

Personal and Businesses can use Night Deposit as a no touch deposit option anytime.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering temporary night deposit keys and disposable deposit bags to business members at no charge. We will be checking the depository throughout the day and these deposits will be made with no charge to the member. 

Personal members can place their deposit in the envelopes provided, put their name and phone number along with any special instructions on the envelope and drop the envelope in the night deposit.

CRA Direct Deposit is the fast, convenient and secure way to get your CRA payments directly into your account. If you’re like many Canadians and applying for financial relief through the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), we encourage you to enrol in CRA’s direct deposit. It’s the easy and secure way to receive payments directly into your account.
