We’re looking for a Member Relationship Specialist to join our team in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will join a team of 6 Member Relationship Specialists.  They will be responsible for consumer lending requests, opening new accounts, completing signing authority documentation for all deposit accounts, completing basic investment products and processing card related requests.  They will build relationships and ensure their assigned client portfolio is receiving the highest level of service possible.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 with preference given to individuals with post-secondary education or previous work-related experience in the credit union and financial industry.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a financial institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preference given to those with experience, a solid working knowledge and thorough understanding of legislative requirements associated with both deposit account opening and lending.
  • Proven success working within a sales, service and goal-oriented environment.

    The application process

    The interview process

    After the position closes, our HR team will work hard to create a short list of candidates.  If you are selected for an interview, we'll contact you directly to set up a mutually agreeable time.  Your interview will be conducted by a member of our HR team and the department manager.  You should expect the interview to take between 45-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the position.  We may ask you to fill out an additional employment assessment after the interview.  All the information needed to access the assessment will be given to you at this time.

    After we have completed all the interviews and received all the assessments, we will make our decision.  You will be contacted from a member of our HR team, whether you were our chosen candidate or not. 

    The job offer

    If you're the selected candidate for the position, we will be contacting you with an offer of employment.  This offer is conditional upon you successfully passing the criminal, financial and reference checks needed for your position.

    Only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.  If you are not chosen, your resume will stay on file for three months and will be considered for any openings that fit your skills, education and experience.

    We recruit and hire students from educational institutions each summer, depending on staffing needs.
