The Opportunity

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Manager of Lending will be responsible for the development and administration of the commercial and agriculture lending portfolio.  They will coach, mentor and train their team to ensure performance is in line with our strategy and acting in accordance to our profitability and risk standards.  They will create and administer lending procedures and guidelines to meet compliance regulations and will develop new products and services to meet our member’s needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years post-secondary education plus 7 – 9 years of job related experience.
  • Previous management and coaching experience with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performance teams is a requirement.
  • Ability to effectively work with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Outstanding customer service attributes both internally and externally.
  • Experience developing strong internal and external relationships, both individually and in a team environment.
  • Proven success working with a sales, service and goal oriented environment.
  • Must have excellent communication/listening skills and a strong desire to help others.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

The application process

Before you submit your application, please read the job posting carefully to ensure you possess the relevant skills and experience, as only qualified applicants will be considered.

If you are short-listed for a position, we will contact you to move forward with an interview. If you're not selected for a specific posting you will not be contacted, however we encourage you to continue applying for future positions that match your qualifications and interest.

The interview process

After the position closes, our HR team will work hard to create a short list of candidates.  If you are selected for an interview, we'll contact you directly to set up a mutually agreeable time.  Your interview will be conducted by a member of our HR team and the department manager.  You should expect the interview to take between 45-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the position.  We may ask you to fill out an additional employment assessment after the interview.  All the information needed to access the assessment will be given to you at this time.

After we have completed all the interviews and received all the assessments, we will make our decision.  You will be contacted from a member of our HR team, whether you were our chosen candidate or not. 

The job offer

If you're the selected candidate for the position, we will be contacting you with an offer of employment.  This offer is conditional upon you successfully passing the criminal, financial and reference checks needed for your position.

We recruit and hire students from educational institutions each summer, depending on staffing needs.
