The application process

Before you submit your application, please read the job posting carefully to ensure you possess the relevant skills and experience, as only qualified applicants will be considered.

Once you submit your application, you will receive an automated reply from recruitment@weyburncu.cato confirm your application has been received. If you are short-listed for a position, we will contact you to move forward with an interview. If you're not selected for a specific posting you will not be contacted, however we encourage you to continue applying for future positions that match your qualifications and interest.

The interview process

After the position closes, our HR team will work hard to create a short list of candidates.  If you are selected for an interview, we'll contact you directly to set up a mutually agreeable time.  Your interview will be conducted by a member of our HR team and the department manager.  You should expect the interview to take between 45-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the position.  We may ask you to fill out an additional employment assessment after the interview.  All the information needed to access the assessment will be given to you at this time.

After we have completed all the interviews and received all the assessments, we will make our decision.  You will be contacted from a member of our HR team, whether you were our chosen candidate or not. 

The job offer

If you're the selected candidate for the position, we will be contacting you with an offer of employment.  This offer is conditional upon you successfully passing the criminal, financial and reference checks needed for your position.

Will you receive confirmation of application?

Yes, you should receive an email from recruitment@weyburncu.ca confirming we received your application.  If you do not receive an email, please contact recruitment@weyburncu.ca


Will you always be contacted?

Only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.  If you are not chosen, your resume will stay on file for three months and will be considered for any openings that fit your skills, education and experience.


If you have already sent in a general application, should you apply for a specific posting?

We keep resumes on file for three months however, if you feel there is a specific job posted that fits your skills, education and experience, please send in an application for that position.


Do we hire summer students?

We recruit and hire students from educational institutions each summer, depending on staffing needs.
